“The NCSCT should be applauded for providing solid, unbiased and supportive advice to both smokers and the services they access,” said Marc Michelsen, Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs and Communications. “This type of high level, very practical support for people who want to try e-cigarettes as an alternative to tobacco shows empathy and understanding. It is also fundamentally important considering the mixed and misleading messages that smokers are constantly exposed to in the media.”
In its document, the NCSCT states that “e-cigarettes are considerably safer than smoking cigarettes, are popular with smokers and that they have a role to play in reducing smoking rates.“
Further, it provides friendly and accessible advice to smokers about nicotine, flavours, product choices and more. To access the full NCSCT document please click here.
